A colorful house

                                                A simple 2 floor house

This project is a 2 floor house. This house can be built on almost all kinds of sites. The architects hope was to achieve a building with architectural presence that creates a comfortable living within, with a nice external aesthetic appearance.
The house is a small building with 5 different colors.
The colors can be changed and manipulated according to areas defined by lines, defining a more playful house.
The lines defining the structural system can become different, defining a something more complex or not. So the final result with colorful play can become something different, almost becoming art.
The colors can change according to color theory to another combination.
Or the colors can be more abstract.

Or the structural system can be of concrete, leaving options for more abstract play with colors, maybe even with a drawing-painting in it, maybe on a basis of a solid material.
Or even a large abstract painting, reflecting on the yard or in a pool.

The entrance is within a pattern of colors, and a large glass area above a certain height, defined by the height of first floor.
The pattern defined in the sketch side view can be the same as in the front view, changing the building external view.
Maybe little void in bricks in the side view(in the case of solid material), can let the light enter.
The volume is simple, giving a satisfying view.
The whole house can be stretched to the left and right, changing the inner areas and the volume.
The whole house can be stretched in front and back, changing the inner areas and the volume.
The whole volume can be from a clear cube to a rectangle, and without the balcony.
The balcony can be removed for more clear volume.
The balcony just satisfies needs of the internal organization of the spaces, adding to the well being and pleasure of the owners.

The walls, left and right, can be of the same color and the same pattern.
In the case the balcony exists, the solution is clear.
The walls on left and right view should be different depended upon the functionality of the inner areas of the house, and in a way that the view is giving a satisfying final result.

The front and back view of the building can be the same.
Depending upon transformation, the can be added little glass voids, visible or hidden, in order the light to enter from these views.
The light pattern entering the house can be controlled in order to give a satisfying result, according to site and orientation of the building.

In the original sketch there are the ground and 1rst floor.
The land around the house can be something concrete, like a yard with all the requirements of the architect / owner, or something different.
The house can be something unique, like an isolated house in another area of the city, or even a house in the beach or forest with the appropriate materials.
The house should be ideally rotated and manipulated according to the site orientation.
The yard or the land around the house functions complementary to the house, enhancing the well living and pleasure of the owners.

The functionality of the house is simple and effective.
The spaces are organized in a way that gives the capacity to the areas to function right and to transform.
The ground floor consists of a living room connected with dining, kitchen, bedroom/guestroom, and a bath.
The living room has direct connection to the dining, kitchen and the other areas.
There is a nice visual communication between the living and the first floor, because of the void in the first floor slab.
The entrance doors is normal, and above a certain height there is a large glass letting the light inside the living room.
The light enters freely the living room, dining and kitchen.
The bedroom/guestroom should or not have a door communicating with the area around the house. Or maybe windows, leaving the light to enter.

In the living room can be added a fireplace and a style/decoration according to owner wish.
The stairs should add to the aesthetics of living room, and can create a nice space under it, used in various ways.

The dining/kitchen style should match the living room style/decoration.
The kitchen and dining can change place.
Generally the guest and bath areas can be controlled and manipulated.
They can easily switch place between them.

The bedroom can be converted to guestroom/den/service room.
Another solution is just a bath, and an open den. Or a movement of dining and kitchen to the back, extension of the living room, or a little cinema, transforming completely the space of the ground floor.

The first floor consists of two bedrooms and a bath.
The area of the bedrooms is organized in such a way, that can change giving the architect/owner the right to manipulate the spaces easily.
The two bedrooms have access to the balcony and get plenty of light through the doors.
The width of the balcony ca change according to the site and light requirements.
The slab above the balcony should have the appropriate length to let the light enter.
One bedroom can be converted to a den. Or in another case of design, there can be only a bath over the bath of first floor, and the open space can change to   bedroom and a den, open or closed. Or maybe the space can be converted completely to a gallery.

The yard can become whatever the owner wants, with a pool somewhere in the yard. The yard can have a garage, maybe at the left or behind the house and with a door leading directly to the house. It depends upon the site.
Or the garage can be independent, or depending on the general area of where the house is in relation with the site and roads around, there cannot exist at all.

The site can have one or more roads around it.

The site can be inside a structured area of the city, or somewhere isolated.
The house can stand alone, defining something unique.

The structural system can be of a steel truss with a combination with concrete columns and slab.
The steel truss can have a strong color, like black or dark grey, so the colors between the steel truss play.

In the other axis, the structural system can be of concrete, the usual used in such type of buildings. Or it could be of steel, depending on the site and the area where the house will be built.

Final blueprints can be made easily with autocad or archicad, or other software.
And render can be made easy with appropriate software.
It is a simple, defined and not, somewhat concrete and a little abstract approach to a specific two floor house, that can change relatively easy, to satisfy the owner needs.
