Round house
This project is a single floor house. This house can be built on almost
all kinds of sites. The architects hope was to achieve a building with
architectural presence that creates a comfortable living within, with a
nice external aesthetic appearance.
The house is a small building with one basic material, stone.
The volume is simple,
giving a satisfying view.
There is a little slople on the external stone wall.
The structural system is monolithic and continuous, with a shape with good structural behavior.
The whole house is defined by the circle geometry. The radius can change in order the complete house to become bigger or smaller. A basic radious can be of, lets say 7-8 meters.
Above the house, a single slab, without need for anything else.
Maybe with wood downsides, visible from inside.
All the inner spaces, and windows follow the geometry of the house, with symmetry around the center of it.
The door and windows can be with black steel and wooden frame.
At the back of the building there can be a garrage, with connection to the house.
There is a possibility of extending the roof around the circle, creating in the yard space, which enchances the pleasuse and functionality of the house.
In the original house, the light enters the house from windows.
The play of the light depends on the location of the site and the yard, the trees or not around it, but the owner or architect can play with dimensions in order for less or more light.
The house should be ideally rotated and manipulated according to the site orientation, according to theory books and specific site properties.
Other ideas include soil in some height above the ground, enhancing the insulation of the house.
In the original sketch there is a 3d sketch and floor plan.
The
land around the house can be something concrete, like a yard with all
the requirements of the architect / owner.
The house can be on some distance of the sea or in a mountain, or forest, with different kind of yard.
The site around defines aesthetic parameters that change the view of the house.
The yard or the land around the house functions complementary to the house, enhancing the well
living and pleasure of the owners.
Maybe the house can be without yard at all, in open space, standing alone.
The functionality of the house is simple and effective.
The spaces are organized in a way that gives the capacity to function right.
The bath can become different type, defining to other areas.
The ground floor consists of a living room connected with a den, dining, kitchen, bedrooms, and a bath.
The is a nice litte esoteric garden, defined by glass wall and a visible tree.
There is a possibility of removing the den and making the living room bigger.
The
yard can become
whatever the owner wants, with a pool somewhere in the yard.
An idea is the house standing alone, in a brown ground with grass, and some stones, leading to entrance door and defining the yard, creating areas.
Maybe a covered wooden area, adding function to the yard.
The yard
can have a garage, maybe at back of the house. It depends upon the site.
Or the garage
can be independent, or depending in the general area of where the house
is in relation with the site and roads around, there cannot be at all.
The site can have one or more roads around it.
The site can be inside a structured area of the city, or somewhere isolated.
Or maybe the site can be outside the city structure, so the house can stand alone, defining something unique.
The continuous monolithic stone, defined in a circle shape makes an effective structural system.
Final blueprints can be made easily with autocad or archicad, or other software.
Render can be made easy with appropriate software.
It
is a simple, but effective and concrete design of a 2 floor house, that can change relatively easy, to satisfy
the owner needs.
